Abstract:Objective To summarize the uniformity calibration method of daily quality control (QC)
of Hawkeye device and to analyze the common causes of property drift. Methods Part of the QC data
of Hawkeye device collected in our hospital from January 2013 to June 2013 was selected to make
an analysis of its uniformity. The bright spot was found in the center field of Hawkeye probe in the
hospital, and its CFOV (Center Field of View) uniformity values deviated greatly (23.17%). In view of
this, the ITER (Iterative Calibration) procedure of Hawkeye device was initiated for correction of the
CFOV uniformity values. Results The intrinsic uniformity of the device went back to normal value
(CFOV<3.5%) after correction. Conclusion Effective daily QC could correct the uniformity value drift
of Hawkeye device, which enables the maintenance of its uniformity in perfect status and assures its
complete performance.
