Abstract:Objective To quantitatively evaluate the performance index of uMI 780 PET/CT. Methods We measured the spatial
resolution, sensitivity, noise equivalent count rate, scatter fraction and true coincidence count rate of PET according to GB18988-1
(NEMA NU2-2007) standard. Results The horizontal spatial resolution and axial spatial resolution at 1 cm from center of field of view
(FOV) were 3.11 and 3.17 mm, and they were 3.33 and 3.31 mm at 10 cm, respectively. The system sensitivities at center of FOV and 10
cm from center of FOV were 15.327 and 15.812 kcps/MBq, respectively. The peak value of noise equivalent counting rate was 182.16
kcps, when the radiation concentration was 17.81 kBq/cc. In addition, the scatter fraction was 37.69% at NECR peak and 36.89% at low
activity. Meanwhile the largest real coincidence counting rate was 563.04 kcps, when the activity was 31.55 kBq/cc. Conclusion The
method adopted by this study was scientifically feasible, the indexes of this PET are all up to national existing standards, which can
provide reference for PET acceptance tests and quality control.
