Abstract:Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) of knee joint is the primary treatment for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)
injury. Anterolateral structure reconstruction (ALSR) is used in patients with high axial displacement of the ACL that cannot be
resolved by ACLR. In recent years, many studies have shown that ALSR can reduce the residual axial displacement of the knee joint
after pure ACLR and maintain its rotational stability. In order to further understand the research progress of ALSR, this paper aims to
summarize the anatomy of anatomical structure, biomechanical characteristics, surgical indications of ALSR, clinical outcomes and
surgical methods, to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment.
