Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT)-assisted guide 2-dimention (2D) breast lesions
compared with full-field digital mammography (FFDM) guided method, and to improve the accuracy of breast puncture localization.
Methods A total of 132 patients with 2D breast puncture localization under DBT-assisted guidance and FFDM direct guidance were
retrospectively analyzed between January 2019 and August 2021 in our hospital, including a total of 132 non-palpable breast
lesions (NPBL) containing calcification. Statistical analysis was performed on the data of the two groups. Results There
was no significant difference in age and breast compression thickness and pressure between the two groups (P>0.05). There were
significant differences in the distance from needle tip to focal center and the total localization satisfaction between the two groups
(P<0.001). The single-time resection rate of DBT assisted was higher than FFDM (84% vs. 68%), and the difference was statistically
significant (P<0.05). In terms of surgical resection efficacy, the sensitivity and accuracy of breast lesions puncture localization under
DBT assisted was higher than that under FFDM guidance. Conclusion The accuracy of breast lesion puncture localization under
DBT guidance is higher than that under FFDM guidance. It can be used as a conventional operation mode of breast X-ray guided
puncture localization.
