Abstract:The accelerator tube of medical single photon accelerator is welded with electron gun, ion pump and ray target. If any
part fails, it is necessary to repair or even replace the whole assembly, which will cause huge maintenance costs. In this paper, fault
tree analysis method was adopted. According to the operation principle of the equipment, five typical fault manifestations were
selected, including vacuum drop of accelerating tube, YLD interlock, water leakage of cooling copper tube of ray target, breakdown
of high voltage cable joint of electron gun and FLOW interlock. The judgment ideas and maintenance methods of related faults were
summarized and analyzed, and the process of replacing this type of accelerating tube to remove the fault was introduced in detail. We
hope to share effective protection and preventive measures to maximize the service life of the accelerating tube, create economic and
social benefits, and provide reference for colleagues.
