Analysis of Electrostatic Discharge Rectification Methods in Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing

Abstract:With the development of science and technology, medical devices are becoming more and more diversified in technical
forms and types. The electromagnetic environment in limited space is deteriorating. Electromagnetic compatibility has become a
key problem to be solved in the design and use of medical devices. In this study, we focused on the electrostatic discharge test in
electromagnetic interference. We analyzed the test principle, purpose and test methods, summarized the possible consequences of
electrostatic discharge on electronic equipment. On this basis, the principle of electrostatic discharge protection was analyzed from the
view of discharge points, material and circuit design. The rectification methods of electrostatic discharge were analyzed with an example.
The display screen, panel and gap of the prototype were rectified effectively. This paper provides a reference for solving the problem of electrostatic
discharge test and also makes prospects for antistatic design of medical electrical equipment in research and development stage.
