Abstract:Objective To study the value of 99mTc rate in Graves disease diagnosis, compare the correlation of thyroid hormone,
especially FT3, and explore the clinical value of 99mTc rate (total number of thyroid regions of interest - background count/collection
time). Methods The 99mTc uptake rates of 65 patients with Graves'disease and 13 normal controls were compared with the laboratory
data FT3. The value of 99mTc rate for the diagnosis of Graves disease was proved by the correlation ratio. Results There was a good
correlation between thyroid uptake rate of 99mTc and FT3 value of Graves disease, r =0.767 (P< 0.05). It was superior to the traditional
thyroid/oral ratio method. Conclusion Thyroid uptake 99mTc rate is of great value in the diagnosis of Graves disease.
