Abstract:This paper aimed to explore the establishment of dielectric properties subject-specific
electromagnetic model using hybrid imaging modalities and to provide necessary load model to analyze
and calculate the distribution of electromagnetic fields in the tissues. Based on the computed tomography
(CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) images, this paper established the subject-specific dielectric
properties electromagnetic model named ‘fusion’. Based on the CT images, this paper also established
another model named ‘single’. By using the established models, electromagnetic simulations were
implemented to obtain the distribution of the B1 field and SAR at 1.5 T and 3 T. By comparing the results
of ‘fusion’ model and ‘single’ model, we can conclude that the subject-specific dielectric properties
electromagnetic model using hybrid imaging modalitiesis capable of offering subtler results for predicting
the B1 field and SAR distribution.
