Abstract:Two methods of measurement of the dielectric properties based on open-ended coaxial probe
were introduced in this paper and the dielectric properties of human colorectal tissues were measured
over the frequency range of 50~500 MHz using the open-ended coaxial probe. The results indicate
that the performance of this precision probe was satisfactory and can be used to measure the dielectric
properties of human tissues. The open-ended coaxial probe introduced in this paper, as the preferred
method of measuring dielectric properties of biological tissues, is simple, noninvasive and can be used in
real-time measurement in vivo.
