Design of a Miniaturized and Low-Cost Immunofluorescence Analyzer

Abstract:Objective To design a miniaturized, low-cost immunofluorescence analyzer with automatic discarding function.
Methods The immunofluorescence analyzer was designed with a non-confocal optical path. The light source was located
on both sides of the optical module, and the photodiode was located directly above the test strip. The optical module used
micro switch to detect the insertion of test trip, used push-rod motor to control the movement of the test strip, and realized
the scanning process of the test card with the silicon photodiode. Results The results showed that the precision of the analyzer
had a CV value of less than 5%, the accuracy of the low-value and intermediate-value was not more than 5%, and the gradient fluid
correlation coefficient was more than 0.99 in the linear range. The immunofluorescence analyzer had well fixed optical module,
simple movement mechanism, with the functions of automatic detection of card insert and automatic discarding of waste card.
Conclusion The new design of the instrument is effective, and can be widely applied in the immunofluorescence of food safety
and animal diseases.
