Abstract:Objective To explore the value of three dimensional speck tracking imaging (3D-STI) parameters in evaluating the
changes of ventricular function in breast cancer patients with anti human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) drugs.
Methods A total of 50 breast cancer patients who required adjuvant chemotherapy and were admitted to our hospital from June
2021 to June 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 30 healthy volunteers in the same period were selected as the control
group. Compared the conventional echocardiographic parameters and 3D-STI parameters of the control group with the observation
group before chemotherapy, chemotherapy cycle 2nd, 4th, 6th, with the clinicopathological diagnosis as “gold standard”, and 3D-STI
parameter receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn. Results E/A value in the observation group at the 6th cycle of
chemotherapy was lower than that in the control group and before chemotherapy (P<0.05). The left ventricular twist and myocardial
composite index in the observation group at the 2nd, 4th and 6th cycles of chemotherapy were lower than those in the control group
and before chemotherapy (P<0.05), and the global longitudinal strain (GLS) in the observation group at the 4th and 6th cycles of
chemotherapy were lower than those in the control group and before chemotherapy (P<0.05). The ROC curve showed that the highest
sensitivity of GLS was 96.00%, and the global circumferential strain specificity was 96.67%. Conclusion 3D-STI parameters can
evaluate the changes of ventricular function in breast cancer patients after anti-HER-2 chemotherapy, and provide diagnostic basis for
early clinical intervention.
