Abstract:Amide proton transfer (APT) imaging is a novel molecular imaging technique that can obtain information on protein
concentration and pH in tissues through the chemical exchange saturation transfer between amide protons and water protons. In
recent years, this imaging technique has been applied to breast cancer because of its characteristics of reflecting the biochemical
information of diseases at the molecular level and not requiring exogenous contrast agents. At present, APT imaging has been initially
applied in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions, the correlation prediction of histopathological indicators,
and the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy. This paper aims to review the research progress of APT imaging in breast cancer.
