Abstract:Objective To analyze the long-term stability of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment performance using Minitab.
Methods The Minitab 17.0 software was used to analyze the long-term stability of the performance of three MRI devices (MRI-1,
MRI-2 and MRI-3). The analysis of performance test items included image homogeneity, signal-to-noise ratio, slice thickness, and
aspect ratio. The spatial resolution of MRI was analyzed using time-series method. Results The long-term quality control process for
most performance testing items was classified as level Ⅰ, with a process performance index Pp>1.67; for MRI-1 and MRI-2 devices, the
process performance of all testing items was at least level Ⅱ or higher; the image homogeneity of MRI-3 equipment was classified
as level Ⅳ, indicating that the influence factors should be identified and the frequency of testing should be increased. Conclusion By
using Minitab to perform process capability analysis on MRI equipment, it is possible to objectively assess the performance stability
throughout the life cycle of MRI equipment, which is helpful in monitoring the operation status of the equipment and determining
the frequency of quality control testing; the results of process performance analysis can be used to assess the maintenance status of
the equipment and determine the replacement cycle of key components. This ensures that the performance of equipment remains in a
good state, provides a reliable foundation for diagnosis and therapeutic services.
