Abstract:Tumor-derived exosome (TEX) can carry abundant tumor-specific information in the form of proteins and nucleic acids,
and has great potential in early-stage, multi-parameter cancer diagnosis. However, traditional exosome detection technology still faces
the problems such as expensive equipment, low sensitivity, and complicated procedures. With the development of nanomedicine,
biosensing technology based on field effect transistor (FET) combined with nanomaterials has the advantages of fast real-time, high
sensitivity, label-free, etc., showing a broad application in the detection of TEX, providing a new means for the early diagnosis of
cancer. This paper reviewed the concept and detection status of TEX, the working principle and advantages of FET nanosensors,
expounded the latest application progress of FET nanosensors in the field of TEX detection in recent years, and preliminarily
discusses its limitations and countermeasures. It aims to provide a theoretical basis for clinical application of FET nanosensors for
rapid diagnosis of cancer patients.
