Abstract:Objective To explore an effective quality control plan for the quantitative SPECT/CT (Simens Symbia Intevo 16), ensuring
the normal operation of the device and maximize the quality of collected images. Methods The performance parameters such as
energy peak, uniformity, center of rotation, sensitivity and model test were detected to understand the operation of the equipment.
Device data during 2018 were collected and analyzed by SPSS 19. Results Daily energy peak test of SPECT/CT was normal. After
calibration, the mean values of CFOV and UFOV of intrinsic integral uniformity of detector 1 and 2 decreased compared with those
before calibration. The center of rotation results of the detector 1 and 2 were in the normal range. The sensitivity calibration nominal
deviation results of detector 1 and 2, respectively, were 0.23%±0.11% and 0.16%±0.07%. In the Jaszczak model test, the resolution
of hot area was 7.3 mm, the cold area was 5.9 mm, uniformity and linear visual examination were qualified. In the International
electrotechnical commission model test, the images fusion error of transverse, coronal and sagittal were ≤1 mm. In the Hoffman 3D
brain model test, the basal ganglia of the brain showed three nuclei structure, meeting the requirements. Daily CT tube preheating
and air correction, water film uniformity test and noise test were normal. Conclusion Comprehensive quality control of quantitative
SPECT/ CT is very important. We have developed effective quality control plans, which can not only ensure the normal operation of
the equipment, but also provide high-quality images and accurate diagnosis and treatment by physicians.
