Abstract:Objective In order to overcome the deficiencies of the present commercial surgical scalpel blade removers such as lack
of function and laborious operation, easy to be thorn cut mistakenly, inconvenience to storage and carry, and so on, the present
study designed a assisted clamping-removing scalpel blade and magazine integrated pocket metal remover. Methods With the aid
of telescopic bar and elastic reed to help unload, we integrately designed the removing scalpel blade and magazine assembly based
on the ideas of “human oriented medical treatment, humanistic care, man-machine harmony, people have my fine”. Results The
unloading success rate of the scalpel blade was 100%. Compared with the needle holder, the efficiency of the remover increased
by 1~2 times. Moreover, the magazine was more convenient, safe and quick to remove the plurality of scalpel blades continuously,
which was twice the result with half the effort. Conclusion Compared with the common scalpel blade remover, there are a lot of
superiorities of the remover we designed in the present study, such as assisting clamping-removing to save effort, accurate and
convenient, active protection, safety prevention cutting, disassembly and storage integration, easy to carry, which is worthy of clinic
application.
