Abstract:Objetcive To explore the application value of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the therapy of gastric cancer combined with diabetes. Methods 48 patients with gastric cancer combined with diabetes who had been admitted from August 2009 to August 2012 in our hospital were divided into control group (24 cases) and observation group (24 cases). Control group was treated with traditional laparotomy while observation group was treated with laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. Then the intraoperative data and postoperative data of the two groups were compared. Results Comparison results of intraoperative data such as operation time, size of the wounds, and amount of bleeding showed that observation group was better than control group (P<0.05). Comparison results of postoperative data such as anus exhaust time, infection rate, eating time, complications showed that observation group was better than control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery has many advantages such as good curative effect, small trauma, high safety, less complications and high lymphatic clearance so that it has important value in the therapy of gastric cancer combined with diabetes.
