Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes of functional connections between brain networks in patients with left medial temporal
lobe epilepsy (LMTLE) in resting state. Methods Nineteen patients with LMTLE confirmed by pathology and 20 healthy volunteers
were selected as normal control group. After rs-fMRI examination and extraction of resting-state networks (RSNs), the differences
in functional connectivity (FC) strength of RSNs between the patient group and the normal control group were compared, and the
connectivity of RSNs with differences between the groups was analyzed. Results Compared with normal control group, positive
functional connectivity of CEN-aDMN was significantly increased in LMTLE group, and the difference was statistically significant
(P<0.05). Conclusion The increase of FC in CEN-aDMN networks in LMTLE patients is associated with cognitive dysfunction.
