According to the inherent characteristics and clinical needs of orthopedic surgery, orthopedic surgical robot can provide
preoperative planning and intraoperative positioning functions to ensure the accuracy of the surgery, improve the accuracy of implant
placement, thereby ensuring the safety of surgery. This paper expounds the development of the orthopedic robot, sorts out the
classification of medical robots and the main policies proposed in the development process. It focuses on the analysis of the related
technologies and composition of orthopedic surgical robots (control system, positioning and navigation device, mechanical arm
installation and supporting tool set), and then analyzes the industry situation, advantages, and disadvantages of orthopedic robots. The
development of orthopedic robot is summarized. It is expected that this paper can be used for reference in the precise positioning and
development of orthopedic robots in clinical application.
