Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) on the success rate of nail placement in patients with
lumbar spine (spondylolisthesis) transpedicular screw fixation. Methods A total of 116 patients with lumbar spondylolisthesis who
were admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were divided into traditional group and MSCT group (58 cases
each) by envelope method. Among them, the traditional group surgery was positioned by X-ray fluoroscopy, and the MSCT group was
reconstructed by MSCT scan based on the traditional group before operation, and all patients were placed with pedicle screws under
the X-ray machine. The efficacy and accuracy of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results A total of 255 pedicle screws
were placed in the MSCT group, while 232 pedicle screws were placed in the traditional group. Among them, the total effective rate of
MSCT group was 100%, which was significantly higher than that of traditional group (79.31%). The screw position of MSCT group
was excellent in 243 cases (95.29%), which was higher than that of traditional group in 175 cases (75.43%) (P<0.05). Moreover, the
operation time (40.55±8.65) min in the MSCT group was lower than that in the traditional group (61.35±10.32) min (P<0.05), and
the incidence of complications in the MSCT group was lower than that in the traditional group (P<0.05). Conclusion MSCT
scanning is helpful to improve the accuracy of screw placement and reduce the incidence of complications in patients with lumbar
spondylolisthesis undergoing pedicle screw fixation, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
