Abstract:The emergency deployment mechanism of medical equipment is critical for hospitals in the prevention and control of major
infectious diseases. To maximize the utilization of limited medical equipment, we developed a multi-party coordination emergency
deployment mechanism of medical equipment for respiratory infectious diseases in a hospital, based on experiences of prevention
and control of respiratory infectious diseases like SARS and avian influenza, and the guidelines for disease diagnosis and treatment.
This mechanism also relied on the Emergency Equipment Supply Center and conformed to the national rules with medical equipment
management. It played an important role in the prevention and control of coronavirus disease 2019 in our hospital. This study
provides a reference for emergency management of medical equipment with regard to respiratory infectious diseases in hospitals.
