Abstract:Objective To detect the value of process management of routine chest CT examination, for the discovery of occult
coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients, timely block the virus transmission and avoid cross infection. Methods The patients
who had chest CT examination adopted the mode of centralized appointment, optimized the patient’s treatment process, improved the protection level of radiology technicians, and tried to find out the suspected cases in the imaging CT examination, reported the
suspected patients through the reporting process, so as to achieve the possibility of early removal of virus transmission. Results As of
February 20, our hospital completed more than 3000 chest CT examinations, technicians reported 35 suspected cases, doctors judged
and sent to fever clinic for further diagnosis of 23 cases, and finally confirmed 3 cases of COVID-19. Conclusion During the period
of COVID-19, we should do well in the management of the routine CT examination process of all the patients and give full play to
the role of the first line radiology technicians, so as to find out the patients with occult COVID-19 as early as possible, block the virus
transmission in time, avoid the cross infection between the medical staff or other people, and enable the patients to get timely treatment.
