Abstract:Objective To explore a bronchial artery imaging scheme with more simple flow and better display quality based on
the “regional growth” post-processing technique. Methods A total of 26 patients were enrolled and scanned with an optimized
bronchial artery CTA large-pitch scanning protocol. Two technicians used Method A (regional growth + conventional method) and
Method B (conventional method) for post-CT processing. The post-processing time was recorded on the software. The images
were classified and scored by two diagnostic personnel. Results The post-processing time of A group recorded by technician 1
was shorter than that of B group [(673.04±152.42)s vs.(837.73±154.92)s, P<0.01]. Meanwhile, the post-processing time of
A group recorded by technician 2 was shorter than that of B group [(726.85±148.37)s vs. (813.77±143.99)s, P=0.04]. A group
had a higher subjective score 4 (3~4) than B group 3 (2~3) (Z=- 7.04, P<0.01). Subjective score of VR profile in A group 3 (3~4) was
higher than that in B group 2 (2~3) (Z=-5.94, P<0.01). A group branch display subjective score 2 (1~3) was higher than B group
1 (1~2) (Z=-3.49,P<0.01). 2 cases in A group and 9 cases in B group showed unclear bronchial artery opening (χ2
=5.65, P=0.04).
Conclusion Based on the “regional growth” post-processing technique, the post-processing time is shortened, detection rate and the
VR image quality are improved.
