Abstract:The electroencephalogram signal is the overall response of the synchronous electrophysiological activities of a large
number of neurons in the human central nervous system in the cerebral cortex and scalp surface. The processing and analysis of
electroencephalogram signals are of great significance for exploring the working mechanism of brain and to diagnose and treating
diseases of brain nervous system. This paper reviewed and summarized the latest research results related to electroencephalogram
signal processing and analysis at home and abroad in recent five years, and mainly sorts out them according to four kinds of methods:
time-frequency analysis, high-order spectrum analysis, nonlinear dynamics and artificial neural network. We hope this paper can
provide some references for scholars to get the current research status and to choose appropriate methods of electroencephalogram
processing and analysis.
