Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of two-dimensional code technology based on the development of modern
communication in medical equipment management. Methods A total of 2054 medical devices operated by our hospital from
January 2017 to December 2018 were selected. They were randomly divided into a control group (1027 units) and a research group
(1027 units). The control group was managed using a traditional equipment management scheme. The research team used the
two-dimensional code technology to manage. The report rate, sampling inspection pass rate, maintenance expense ratio and nonreturn self-repair rate of the two groups were compared, and the number of maintenance personnel’s maintenance response time,
troubleshooting time and adverse events caused by operation were observed. Additionally, 50 cases of medical staff belonging to
the two groups and patients using the equipment were randomly selected for satisfaction evaluation, and the satisfaction of the two
groups was compared. Results The equipment failure rate of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group,
mainly due to improper operation. The pass rate of sampling was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The
repair response time and troubleshooting time of the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05),
the difference between the two groups of maintenance funds and non-returning self-repair rate was not significant (P>0.05). The
incidence of adverse events caused by the operation of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The
medical staff and patients in the study group Satisfaction was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The
two-dimensional code technology based on the development of modern communication can effectively improve the management
effect of medical equipment, improve the equipment integrity rate and maintenance and maintenance efficiency of maintenance
personnel, reduce adverse events and improve the satisfaction of patients and medical staff.
