Abstract:Objective To develop a new type of limb warm sheath, which can be applied to the limb thermal insulation of patients
undergoing femur closed reduction. Methods The limb warm sheath was equipped with heat preservation layer, heating layer and
heat insulation layer from the inside to the outside. The heat preservation layer was equipped with a temperature sensing device
and the outer surface of the sheath had a temperature indicator and a temperature regulator. By comparing with the conventional
insulation measures, the effect of the new body insulation sheath was discussed. Results In the operation of closed reduction of
femur, the thermal insulation effect of the new limb thermal insulation sheath was better than that of the conventional thermal
insulation measures in the operation and postoperative patients (P<0.05). Patients with the new limb thermal insulation sheath had
high comfort in temperature, short postoperative recovery time, and low incidence of hypothermia and chills, with statistically
significant differences compared with the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The new limb thermal sheath can effectively reduce
the occurrence of hypothermia in patients undergoing closed reduction of femur surgery, and it also has the function of monitoring
and regulating the temperature, which is worthy of clinical application.
