Abstract:Objective To design a warning system for Siemens accelerator multi-leaf Collimator (MLC) motor life to realize the early
warning when the motor life reaches the warning value. Methods VC++ program was used to read the plan file exported in the plan
system and the log file in the network transmission system, respectively. The daily travel of 82-leave collimators was calculated
and accumulated from the date of replacement. The average life of 10 motors was calculated as the average life, and the ratio of
accumulative travel to average life was life progress. The life schedule was updated at 24 PM every night. Results The real-time
update of MLC motor life schedule of Siemens accelerator was realized every day by the warning system. If the life progress was
more than 90%, the warning system would give an alarm. Conclusion The use of early warning system reduces the workload of
equipment maintenance engineers, improves the opening rate of machines, and increases the therapeutic effect of patients.
