Abstract:Objective The objective of this study is to establish an evaluation model to assess the residual value of overdue medical
equipment, in order to maximize its benefit. Methods The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) 1-9 scale representation
method was used to determine the quantity scale of five elements under the target of maximizing residual value of
medical equipment with extended period service. Firstly, the hierarchical structure model is established, and the paired
comparison matrix is c o n s t r u c t e d . The hierarchical ordering and consistency test of the matrix is conducted to
determine the affiliation between the elements. R e s u lts The assessment model for residual value of overdue medical
equipment was: score=5×0.467×accuracy+0.234×{1,2,3,4,5}+5×0.187×use rate+0.068×{1,2,3,4,5}+5×0.044×good
rate. We investigated the use status of 16 large-scale medical devices with overdue service in 2017, and evaluated the residual
value based on the specific evaluation element data. Conclusion Based on the model, the sampling analyzes of the overdue
medical equipment were applied in our hospital, and obtained the residual value evaluation results of the equipment. Combining the
specific conditions of the equipment and the influencing factors of the residual value, it would help to develop targeted interventions
for personalized management. Finally, it would help to realize maximum usage value of the overdue m edical equipment.
