Abstract：Objective A private multi-functional wheelchair was designed to solve the problem of toilet access for patients in clinical
preoperative preparation room or other disabled persons with mobility difficulties. Methods The privacy wheelchair was composed
of wheelchair frame, seat plate, bottom plate, toilet seat, toilet hole, battery, headlamps, support frame, curtain and fan. The privacy
wheelchair protected the privacy of patients during defecation, and facilitated patients to travel at night based on the physiological
and psychological needs of patients. Results The private multi-functional wheelchair could meet the needs of patients and those with
mobility problems, reduce the incidence of falls in the operating room, and improve the satisfaction of patients and nursing staff.
Conclusion This private multi-functional wheelchair has the advantages of simple operation, convenient use, strong practicability
and low cost, which is suitable for China's national conditions, and can be popularized.
