Abstract:Objective To study and compare the effect of MSCT combined with MRI in the diagnosis of ankle lateral ligament injury.
Methods A total of 96 cases of ankle lateral ligament injuries admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to March 2018 were selected
and confirmed by arthroscopy or surgery. According to different examination methods, patients were divided into MSCT combined
MRI group and MRI group, with 48 patients in each group. The patients in group MRI were diagnosed by MRI, and the combined
group was also used for MRI, and on this basis, MSCT was used for diagnosis. The detection rate of the unilateral ligaments of
the lateral peroneal ligament, the simple peroneal ligament, the posterior peroneal ligament injury, the anterior peroneal ligament
combined with the peroneal ligament, and the two methods for the combined injury of the ankle joint, such as the effusion of the
articular cavity, were compared. Detection of tendon injuries, bone contusion, fracture fragments, and comparison of the accuracy of
two methods for classification of ligament injuries had been done. Results The detection rate of the lateral ankle ligament damage
detected by the combined group was 93.75%, the detection rate in the MRI group was 77.08%, the detection rate in the combined
group was higher than that in the MRI group (P<0.05), and the detection rate of the bone contusion in the joint group was higher
than that of the group MRI (P<0.05) There was no difference between the two methods for the detection of the joint cavity effusion,
tendon injury and fracture fragments. (P>0.05); the combined group and MRI group had no statistically significant difference in
the degree of ligament injury assessment (P>0.05). Conclusion MSCT combined with MRI is better in diagnosis of lateral ankle
ligament injury, and it has high detection rate for ankle joint injury. It is worth popularizing and applying in clinical practice.
