Abstract:Objective To improve the efficiency and management of pharmacy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS) and reduce
the error rate, the PIVAS software system was constructed. Methods The comparison and analysis of intravenous medication order
and medication record showed that the system could automatically review prescriptions. The two-dimensional code scanning was
used to control and check the entry and exit compartments, drug discharge, configuration, packaging and reception in the ward, etc.
Meanwhile, the operation of drug withdrawal and packaging before drug configuration in the ward was prompted in the configuration
cabin. Results The system not only eliminated the manual verification process, but also increased the scan code charging function,
and the time-adjusted function of unconfigured drugs, which improved the work efficiency and the safety of pharmacy intravenous
admixture. Conclusion The system adopts the method of full-course barcode tracking and control to enable the intravenous
medication to achieve full information supervision, which significantly reduces the error rate of intravenous medication and is
worthy of popularization and application.
