Research Progress of Virtual Reality Technology in the Field of Rehabilitation in China

Abstract:Objective To analyze the research literature of virtual reality technology in the field of rehabilitation medicine in China,
and to understand the research status and future development trend of virtual reality technology in the field of rehabilitation medicine.
Methods Through searching the two databases of Wanfang and CNKI, we comprehensively searched and collected related literatures
on the application of virtual reality technology in the field of rehabilitation medicine from January 2007 to December 2017. Results
In China, the application of virtual reality technology in the field of rehabilitation medicine mainly focused on the rehabilitation
of patients with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, as well as bone injuries. Besides, the role of virtual reality technology in the field of
rehabilitation medicine was analyzed . Conclusion The application of virtual reality technology in the field of rehabilitation has
increased the enthusiasm of patients during treatment, and can mobilize the patient’s subjective initiative. In stroke, Parkinson’s
and other diseases have a significant role in the promotion of rehabilitation for the rehabilitation of patients, which provides a new
method for treatment.
