Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound with SonoVue in evaluating tubal patency. Methods 43 patients with tubal infertility treated from January 2012 to June 2013 in our hospital were examined with routine ultrasound and uterine tubal contrast-enhanced ultrasound. The patency of oviducts as well as the whole oviduct development time before and after hydrotubation were observed and compared. Results The results of uterine tubal contrast-enhanced ultrasound before hydrotubation showed that one side of oviducts was incompletely unobstructed and the other side of oviducts was unobstructed in 17 cases, both sides of oviducts were blocked in 6 cases, one side of oviducts was blocked and the other side of oviducts was incompletely unobstructed in 13 cases, both sides of oviducts were incompletely unobstructed in 7 cases. The results of uterine tubal contrast-enhanced ultrasound after hydrotubation showed that one side of oviducts was incompletely unobstructed and the other side of oviducts was unobstructed in 21 cases, both sides of oviducts were blocked in 2 cases, one side of oviducts was blocked and the other side of oviducts was incompletely unobstructed in 9 cases, both sides of oviducts were incompletely unobstructed in 5 cases, both sides of oviducts were unobstructed in 6 cases. Conclusion Uterine tubal contrast-enhanced ultrasound with SonoVue which could evaluate the tubal patency clearly with simple operation method and low cost should be promoted in clinic.
