Abstract:This paper analyzed the failures of multi leaf collimator (MLC) without interlocks during the operation of Siemens linear
accelerator, and summarized the processing procedure, so as to provide reference for our colleagues. When the failures without
interlocks happened in MLC, the leaves could not run normally through the accelerator console and MLC cabinet. Finally, partly or
completely control components of the failure leaves were replaced. After months of operation, the leaves whose control components
were replaced ran properly. In view of such failures, the selection of control component replacement can reduce the maintenance cost,
but the maintenance personnel skills are also relatively high.
