Design and Application of Radiotherapy Process Network Management Platform

Abstract:Objective In order to realize the paperless, networked and standardized management of radiotherapy workflow, a set of
simple and easy network management platform of radiotherapy workflow has been established. Methods A single-sign-on account
on the network cloud notes was used to manage the radiotherapy workflow. The workflow started with creating a patient-specific
radiotherapy application form according to the template, operated by dragging application form between file folders. Results
The platform covered the entire workflow of radiotherapy. Up date to January 17, 2018, the recorded data in the system were as
follows: 114 application forms, 112 RT records, and 78 summaries. Smooth operation and good results were achieved. Conclusion
A radiotherapy information network platform is successfully established with application form paperlessly digitized, simplifying
workflow and communication process, making patient information retrieval and statistics more convenient for information storage
and sharing. The platform is a low cost information system with easily-accessible interfaces, straight-forward operations, strong
realtime information display, high data security and outstanding running stability.
