Abstract:Objective To discuss the diagnosis value of CT and MRI in prostate sarcoma. Methods The clinical date and CT, MRI
findings of prostate sarcoma in 7 patients confirmed by pathology were restropectively analyzed. Results The normal prostate
structures of 7 patients were disappeared and replaced by soft tissue masses, ranging from 3.9 to 11.4 cm (average 7.4 cm). The
tumors in 2 cases were in round shape, 4 were in lobulated shape, and 1 was in irregular shape. In 1 of 7 cases, the lesion signal was
relatively homogeneous, 6 cases appeared as heterogeneous densities/signals. Necrotic areas were found in 4 cases. Well-defined
T2 low signal pseudocapsule (complete or in complete) were found in 3 cases. All cases underwent diffusion-weighted (DW)-MR,
the appearances of these lesions demonstrated impeded diffusion, and the signal intensity of the lesions was high, but was low on
apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) map. Four cases underwent magnetie responace spectroscopy, and the ratio of choline (Cho) to
citrare (Cit) was significantly increased. Dynamic contrast enhanced showed that the solid part of the tumor was enhanced obviously,
and the necrotic zone was unenhanced. Time-signal strength curve showed that 2 cases were platform type and 1 case was outflow
type. Conclusion Prostate sarcoma has certain imaging characteristics, both CT and MRI are important in diagnosing the disease.
