Abstract:Objective This paper aimed to analyze the value of five steps of prenatal ultrasound screening test in the diagnosis of fetal
cardiac malformation screening. Methods We randomly selected 3000 cases of pregnant women with 15 to 40 weeks of pregnancy
as the main observation objects. They were performed with prenatal ultrasound diagnosis, and the five step screening test was
used for screening of fetal cardiac abnormalities. We also selected another 3000 cases of pregnant women as control group, who
were performed traditional 3-steps methods for fetal cardiac abnormalities. Results The observation group diagnosed by prenatal
ultrasound showed 24 cases of fetal heart malformation, the detection rate was 0.8%. Among the 24 cases who were detected with
cardiac malformations, 13 were aborted, the left (n=11) were given normal childbirth. However, all these cases were detected
with cardiac malformation, and the prenatal and postnatal diagnosis coincidence rate was 100%. In the control group, the rate of
false diagnosis was 80.78%, and there was significant difference between the control group and the observation group (P<0.05).
Conclusion The five steps of prenatal ultrasound screening is valuable for diagnosing fetal cardiac malformation with high diagnosis
coincidence rate.
