Abstract:Due to the characteristic of water and electricity integration, the failure rate of the hemodialysis
machine is very high, especially the failure of the waterway. However, the analysis and summary of
those failures is difficult to be described intuitively because it needs strong professional knowledge. The
common causes and elimination methods of the dialysis fluid conductivity alarm were summarized by
drawing fishbone diagram in this paper. The analysis of the failure causes started from the principle of
dialysis machine. Then the fishbone diagram of the failure causes was drawn according to probability
size of the failure. Finally, the fishbone diagram of maintenance strategy was drawn according to the
corresponding maintenance methods. Using fishbone diagram for describing the failure causes and the
maintenance methods is more clear and logical than text description. Fishbone diagram method can use
widely for summarizing equipment failures and maintenance methods.
