Abstract:Objective To analyze the signal characteristics of the pre- and post-ablation of uterine fibroids
so as to compare the perfusion fraction of pre- and post-ablation of uterine fibroid tissues and to explore
the effectiveness of application of the multi b-value in treatment of uterine fibroids with HIFU (High-
Intensity Focused Ultrasound). Methods T1 FSE, T2 Propeller and multi b-value DWI (Diffusion-
Weighted Imaging) sequence were observed from multiple azimuths (b=0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 400, 800,
1000 s/mm2) with LAVA-Flex enhancement. Measurement of pre- and post-treatment ADCslow, ADCfast
and F value of the myoma center was made. Results ADCslow in Post-Treatment Group was significantly
higher than which in Pre-Treatment Group, while the ADCfast and F value were significantly lower than which
in Pre-Treatment Group with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion With application
of the IVIM DWI b-value double exponential model, the blood supply of uterine fibroids could be
estimated without using the contrast agent, which provided reference for clinical HIFU treatment.
