Abstract:Intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT) is a single high-dose radiation therapy that is administered during surgery to the tumor
bed, visible tumors, or sites prone to recurrence and metastasis of patients. In view of of its clinical advantages, IORT has shown a rapid
development trend in the treatment of various cancers at home and abroad. However, there is a lack of systematic research on existing
IORT devices in China. This paper analyzed and introduced the problems in clinical application of the equipment and technology of the
main manufacturers of IORT in detail, and provided suggestion for the future procurement and research and development of hospitals
and research and development units, so as to promote the further development of clinical and medical equipment in the field of IORT.
