Abstract:The early diagnosis of cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) allows doctors to timely intervene with patients and
formulate treatment plans, which is of great clinical significance for the functional recovery of patients. It is a direction that spine
surgery has been exploring in recent years. With the advancement of science and technology, more and more new technologies have
been applied to the clinical treatment of CSM. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has made it possible to evaluate microstructures
of the spinal cord. Compared with traditional MRI, DTI has a higher sensitivity and also plays an important role in predicting the
prognosis of spinal cord diseases. This paper reviewed the application and technical progress of DTI in CSM in recent years from the
perspective of clinical application, in order to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of CSM.
