Diagnostic Value of Synthetic MRI Combined with IVIM Model in
Cervical Squamous Carcinoma and CIN Ⅲ

Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of relevant quantitative parameters in synthetic MRI combined with
intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) imaging in cervical squamous carcinoma and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) Ⅲ.
Methods A total of 35 female patients with cervical squamous carcinoma (cervical squamous carcinoma group) and 35 patients with
CIN Ⅲ (CIN Ⅲ group) who underwent MRI and IVIM in our hospital from May to December 2021 were prospectively selected.
Post-processing techniques were used to obtain longitudinal relaxation time (T1), transverse relaxation time (T2), proton density (PD)
in synthetic MRI sequences, and slow diffusion coefficient (D), fast diffusion coefficient (D*) and perfusion fraction (f) in IVIM
imaging. The differences in image features between the cervical squamous carcinoma group and CIN Ⅲ group were compared, the
receiver operating characteristic curve was drawn, and the area under curve (AUC) of each parameter was calculated to evaluate the
efficacy of each parameter value in the differential diagnosis of cervical squamous carcinoma and CIN Ⅲ, and compare the efficacy
differences. Results The T2 value and PD value of cervical squamous carcinoma group were significantly higher than those of CIN
Ⅲ group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The D value and f value of cervical squamous carcinoma group
were lower than those of CIN Ⅲ group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The diagnostic efficiency of T2 value in
synthetic MRI was the highest (AUC=0.812), and the diagnostic efficiency of f value in IVIM imaging was the highest (AUC=0.889).
The diagnostic efficiency of synthetic MRI parameters combined with D value and f value was improved, and the diagnostic
efficiency of T2 combined with f value was the highest (AUC=0.956). Conclusion The T2 value in synthetic MRI sequences and the f
value in IVIM imaging have higher diagnostic sensitivity and specificity, and the combined diagnostic efficiency of the two is higher,
which is helpful to improve the diagnostic efficiency of cervical squamous carcinoma and CIN Ⅲ.
