Abstract:In precision radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), accurate radiotherapy target volume, effective prognostic
analysis, post-treatment residual and recurrence monitoring are important work of clinical management, which directly affect the
treatment strategy and efficacy of patients. The biological characteristics of PET/CT, such as quantitative parameters, standard uptake
value, tumor metabolic volume and total amount of lesion glycolysis, showed high application value in all the above aspects.How to
accurately and effectively apply its biological characteristics to the diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a popular
research direction at present, so this article reviewed the use of PET/CT in the diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
