Abstract:Objective Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as a non-invasive neuromodulation technique has not yet been
proved effective in the treatment of stroke. Therefore, it is of great clinical significance to explore the therapeutic effect of tDCS on
the rehabilitation of stroke patients. Methods In this study, thirty-two channels of EEG before, during and after tDCS stimulation
from 21 stroke patients were selected. The partial directed coherence method was used to construct the average brain network,
and the topological parameters of brain network were analyzed. Results The average brain network of the left and right patients
after stimulation was compared with before, the node in-degree and network efficiency both had a significant increase (P<0.05).
The average cluster coefficients which had a significant increase (P<0.05) were respectively increased from 0.0968±0.010 to
0.1290±0.011, and from 0.1341±0.012 to 0.1826±0.014, which were indicated that the degree of brain network conglomeration
and the network information transmission efficiency increased. The number of network core nodes were respectively increased from
3 to 4, and from 2 to 6, the core status was declined, which reduced the ipsilateral inhibition of the affected side. Conclusion The
tDCS has a positive effect on the treatment of stroke and the results provides evidence for the effect of tDCS on stroke disease.
