Abstract:Objective To test the radiation protection of some interventional X-ray machine in our hospital and analyze the radiation level and protective performance of these X-ray machines. Methods Baracuda X-ray detector for quality control, 451B low-energy Xγ dose rate meter(Fluke,USA)and water phantom(25 cm×25 cm×15 cm) were chosen to test the air kerma rate of clinical interventional X-ray machines, and a statistical analysis was conducted based on the test results. Results The average air kerma rate of interventional X-ray machines was (27.34±7.25) mGy / min, the average leak radiation of X-ray source assembly was (35.57±4.63) μGy / h, and the average air kerma rate of protection zone was 1.79×102 μGy / h. Conclusion The useful rays output and air kerma rate under pulsed fluoroscopy mode was significantly lower than those under normal fluoroscopy made perspective. During the use of interventional X-ray machine, the operation should be standardized, periodic testing of radiation protection equipment performance should be conducted, and related detection standards should be built to reduce the radiation of staff protection zone.
