Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) imaging in the evaluation of cervical vessel plaque. Methods 108 patients with ischemic stroke as observation group and 97 patients without ischemic stroke as control group were all examined by ultrasound and their shear wave velocity (SWV) were measured by ARFI imaging technology. The occurrence rate, composition, stability of plaques as well as the average SWV of the two groups were compared. Results Between the two groups, the occurrence rate of plaque in observation group was significantly higher (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in the average SWV (P>0.05); the composition of plaque was significantly different (P>0.05) and the proportion of unstable plaques in observation group was higher. Conclusion ARFI imaging which can play an important role in evaluating cervical vessel plaque is worthy to be widely applied.
