Abstract:Objective In order to improve the accuracy of impedance threshold selection, we proposed a personalized impedance
detection technique. Methods We studied the impedance characteristics of human body and conducted on 6 sets of experiments
to collect the impedance of human body under different currents. The current changed in the range of 0.05~2 mA, and the
electrolyte in contact with the human body used 0.9% sodium chloride solution. The electrode anode was located on the left
frontal anterior frontal lobe of the brain, and the cathode was located above the right eyelid. Results There was a nonlinear
relationship between the body impedance and the current as a power function. Based on this discovery, we developed a
corresponding transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) device. Conclusion The personalized impedance detection
technology and corresponding tDCS device proposed in the study can ensure the accuracy of tDCS impedance threshold
under different currents for different individuals before impedance detection, and improve the therapeutic effect of
transcranial direct current stimulation. In addition, the device can promote the popularity and practicability of personalized
adaptive impedance detection.
