Abstract:The effects of incoherent optical radiation on eyes section include photochemical harm of ultraviolet radiation and infrared
radiation thermal damage. It is known that different types of light sources have different mechanisms for the damage mechanism,
which should be treated as different in the process of the evaluation test of optical radiation hazards. However, there is no uniform
rule for test distance, test aperture and other conditions of optical radiation evaluation criteria until now. Based on the current
radiation hazard classification standard, this paper analyzed the differences of the radiation hazards under different test conditions.
In the end, the test results were analyzed by means of the experimental analysis of the radiated light source and the convergent light
source in different test distances and test aperture. Different types of light source, the harm of eyes day along with the test of distance
and change rule were discussed. The most unfavorable position to select the light source in the optical radiation hazards evaluation
of the front section was suggested, and test was performed according to the aperture experiment with the applicable standard test.
