Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of FA values obtained by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) study of patients suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. Methods 17 cases of AD and 17 cases of controls underwent DTI scan using Siemens Magnetom TrioTim 3.0T MR scanner. Fractional anisotropy (FA) values of ROI in white matter tracts and DMN regions were obtained, and FA values of the two groups were compared. Results FA values in different zones in DMN and various regions of interest which represent different types of fibers were lower in AD patients than that in the control group. Conclusion There were typical changes of DTI in AD patients, and it may help the early diagnosis of the disease.
