Abstract:Objective To establish the traceability of hemodialyzers through application of the barcode technology for quality control purposes. Methods Taking advantage of the uniqueness of a barcode, information packages of hemodialyzers are designed about production, logistics and clinical applications, for quality control purposes. Results Through utilization of the barcode technology, a database for high-value medical consumables is established within which adverse reports of hemodialyzers could be tracked. Conclusion Application of the barcode technology ensures the traceability of the adverse reports of hemodialyzers, which improves quality control.
